Moving 3D data in the 3D top view is similar to looking onto a surface at a certain distance. Movements are possible in all three dimensions.
Moving is performed as described in the following:
To move near and far with mouse and keyboard, please follow the instructions below:
Activate the 3D data view of interest.
Hold down the SHIFT-key until the icon appears.
Keep the SHIFT-key held down and move the mouse forwards or backwards to move near and far.
Release the SHIFT-key to fix the current area as new view port.
To move near and far with the mouse wheel, please follow the instructions below:
Roll the Mouse Wheel forwards or backwards to move near and far.
To move near and far with the keyboard, please follow the instructions below:
Keep the SHIFT-key held down and use the PageUp-key or PageDown-key to move the view port near and far.
To move the view port with the mouse, please follow the instructions below:
Hold down the Right Mouse button anywhere in the data view area until the icon appears.
Keep the Right Mouse button held down and move the view port.
Release the Right Mouse button to fix the current area as new view port.
To move the view port with the keyboard, please follow the instructions below:
Keep the SHIFT-key held down and use the Up Arrow, Down Arrow, Left Arrow or Right Arrow key to move the view port.
To move the view port vertically with the mouse, please follow the instructions below:
Hold down the Left Mouse button anywhere over the y-axis area until the icon appears.
Keep the Left Mouse button held down and move the view port up or down.
Release the Left Mouse button to fix the current area as new view port.
To move the view port horizontally with the mouse, please follow the instructions below:
Hold down the Left Mouse button anywhere over the x-axis area until the icon appears.
Keep the Left Mouse button held down and move the view port left or right.
